What we Do
Asbestos Management Survys
The purpose of the Asbestos Management Survey is to locate as far as reasonably practicable the presence and extent of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) in a property which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy. The Management Survey forms the foundation of the asbestos register and is the basis for the continued management of any identified ACMs.
Asbestos Refurbishment Surveys
Asbestos Refurbishment Survey will be necessary when the building (or part of it) is to be upgraded or refurbished. The purpose of the Asbestos Refurbishment Survey is to locate as far as reasonable practicable all ACMs in the areas where the refurbishment is to take place. These asbestos surveys are fully intrusive and involve destructive inspection as necessary to gain access to all areas.
Asbestos Re-inspections are carried out in buildings that have previously had an Asbestos Management Survey or a Refurbishment / Demolition Survey carried out. The purpose of the Re-inspection is to assess the condition of and any damage to previously identified Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs). If there is a change to the condition of the ACMs which increase the risk of asbestos fibres being released, the re-inspection will highlight the material.
All surveys, sampling and inspections are carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety Executive guidance HSG264 Asbestos: The survey guide.
Asbestos Demolition Surveys
Asbestos Demolition Surveys will be necessary when the building (or part of it) is to be demolished. The purpose of the Demolition survey is to locate as far as reasonable practicable all ACMs in the areas where the demolition is to take place. These asbestos surveys are fully intrusive and involve destructive inspection as necessary to gain access to all areas.
